What to Do With Your Old Dyson or Sebo Vacuum? Let Us Recycle It

Got an old Dyson or Sebo gathering dust in the loft, or sitting dead under the stairs? Don’t chuck it down the tip just yet — there’s a better option.

At Manchester Vacs, we offer a proper recycling service for Dyson and Sebo vacuum cleaners, including cordless models, Airwraps, Supersonic hair dryers, and even things like Dyson fans, heaters and washing machines. Dead or alive, we’ll take them — and give them a second life where possible.

Recycle Your Old Dyson or Sebo Vacuum Cleaner – Here’s How

Recycling a Dyson: Live Locally? We’ll Even Pick It Up

If you’re in Stockport, Manchester, Tameside or surrounding areas, we’ll collect your old Dyson or Sebo vacuum for free. If you’d rather drop it off, bring it to our workshop in Bredbury and we’ll handle the rest — no fuss.

Further Afield and Want to Recycle a Dyson? No Problem

If you’ve got a small Dyson item (like a cordless vacuum, hair dryer or Airwrap) and you’re elsewhere in the UK, we’ll arrange courier collection — and we’ll even cover the cost. Just pack it up, send us an email, and we’ll do the rest. That’s proper service.

What Happens to My Old Dyson?

Unlike the local tip, we don’t just crush and bin everything. We strip machines down, clean usable parts, and reuse them to repair or refurbish other Dysons and Sebos. Anything we can’t reuse is recycled properly, including motors, cables, and plastics.

It’s not just good for the planet — it keeps parts in circulation for the future, helps other customers keep their machines going, and saves waste.

“If it’s Dyson or Sebo, and it’s dead, we’ll probably want it. Even if it looks beyond help.”

Doing Our Bit (and Yours)

Over your lifetime, you’ll throw away more than three tonnes of electrical items. That’s a shocking number. But recycling your old Dyson or Sebo with us is one small way to reduce it, and give your old machine a better ending than the back of a bin lorry.

If you want to see how it all works, and check if your area qualifies for free collection, our full info page is here: Dyson & Sebo Recycling.
