Radiator Buddy? Find It Here Cheaper!

Radiator Buddy?

This flexible cleaning tool, sold elsewhere as the Radiator Buddy, caught our attention a while back, and we wanted to stock it. Now we do, but the story behind how we came to stock it might make you smile.

We don’t usually feature non-Dyson items here, but when something genuinely useful comes along – especially in the cleaning world – we’ll make an exception.

So yes, not a Dyson product – but definitely one worth having.

Why Would You Need One?

If you’ve ever tried to clean behind a radiator, you’ll know it’s awkward. It’s a narrow space, impossible to reach with a vacuum or cloth, and yet it collects dust like nothing else.

That’s not just cosmetic – dust build up behind radiators can reduce heating efficiency. And if you suffer from allergies or just like your home properly clean, it’s one of those jobs that’s worth doing. This long radiator cleaning brush makes it easy.

It’s 80cm long, slim and flexible enough to slide down the back of radiators or between the convector fins inside. The soft microfibre head picks up dust and fluff effortlessly and can be rinsed under the tap and used again. No single-use bits, no attachments, no batteries.

But that’s not all it does. It’s also ideal for:

  • Sliding under beds and sofas
  • Reaching between kitchen cabinets and appliances
  • Getting down the side of washing machines or fridges
  • Cleaning inside some towel rails or panel heaters
  • Skirting board ledges and those strange little places where fluff gathers and mocks you

It bends easily to reach around awkward corners, and the handle gives enough reach without being too long to store.

The Radiator Buddy Backstory: Why We’re Selling Them

You may have seen these sold online as the Radiator Buddy, currently priced at £11.99 plus £3.99 delivery – that’s a meaty £15.98 in total.

We thought it was a nice and useful little product, a must have idea you might say. So we contacted the seller to ask about a trade deal – just 50-100 units to start with. We liked it and thought our customers would too.

Their reply? Let’s just say they weren’t particularly helpful. It was a firm no, with knobs on.

So, we did what any slightly stubborn business does when it wants something and someone said no: sent a few photos of their product to one of our sourcing agents. A few days later, she’d found the exact same item and contacted the factory for us.

We bought 5,000 of them.

The moral of the story: If Manchester Vacs or Dyson Medic asks you for a deal, best not to give us the middle finger. We’ll probably just go find the item ourselves, undercut you by a fiver, and write a blog post about it.

They’re the kind of thing people will pick up at a counter or in a basket – once they’ve seen one in action, they get it. If you’re in the cleaning trade, you better buy them in 10s as your cleaners will all take them home, or “lose” them.
